After moving to Mannheim, Germany, he started his high school there at Westbury High School. He did not take up football until his last year at his high school.

They had a daughter together, Tanita Strahan, and a son, Michael Anthony Strahan Jr. Strahan then moved them to the US in a neighborhood near his parent’s house. After the divorce from his first wife, he married his second wife, Jean Muggli, in the year 1999 after meeting her at a spa.

In the year 1993, Strahan got drafted by the New York Giants. During that season, he only got to play six games due to his injuries and missed the two playoff games of the Giants. But in the year 1997, Strahan got to have his first breakout when he recorded 14 sacks. Again in the year 1998, Strahan continued his streak and raced 15 sacks that got him voted to teams of Pro-bowl and All-Pro for the second time.

In 2001, Michael Strahan made a new record by recording 22.5 sacks in a single season. He made his record by breaking the then-record of 22 sacks of New York Jets Mark Gastineau. In 2006, he led the Giants to score the most sacks in their whole history, 132.5 sacks. His last recorded sack score was as he suffered a Lisfranc fracture later that year against Houston, Texas.
