Dr. Dre was born with Andre Romelle Young to Theodore and Verna Young on the 18th of February, 1965. The marriage of Andre’s parents stayed for about eight years until they finally got divorced in 1972. Dre’s mother then married Curtis Crayon and gave birth to three children, out of which two are now dead, and only his half-sister Shameka is alive. Andre started attending Vanguard Junior High School in 1976 but later moved to suburban Roosevelt Junior High School due to gang violence.

Andre’s mother married Warren Griffin later, and Dre got three more half-sisters and a half-brother.
